Author's Note: I got this idea when I replied to kak Windy's tweet. Totally random but I'm glad that I wrote fanfic again after two years. I have no idea what I wrote tbh HAHA.
“Isn’t it nice being forever young?”
It was just a lazy evening for Nino and Sho when the latter uttered a random question to his lover. It wasn’t a weird question to the petite man. Their age difference was only a year but their appearances were like father and son. No one would believe that both Sho and Nino were lovers for 20 years. Nino might be 37 but he looked forever 17. Everyone would ask what Nino's skincare routine was. No one knew his secret apart from Sho and his close friends that he was a vampire. At this point, it was hard for Sho to keep up with Nino’s youthful face. He wished that he had Nino’s everlasting youth. It would’ve been better if they both looked the same age. The only time when they both looked the same age was 20 years ago, before Nino stopped ageing.
“What kind of nonsense are you thinking about this time?” Nino muttered as he rested his head on Sho’s lap while playing his mobile games.
“It’s not fair. I look like 50 while you look like 15!” Sho pouted as he enviously stared at Nino’s face, “If only I’m a vampire, maybe we don’t look that different now.”
Nino glanced at his lover and rolled his eyes, “If I know how to make you immortal, I would’ve done so.”
“But I’ll still look like a pervert if you know how to make me a vampire right now.”
“True, you look old.”
“Hey!”
“Being forever young isn’t that fun. People would suspect why you don’t age.”
“Well, the fact that you need to change your identity once every 5 years is a bit troublesome.”
“See? Be happy that you’re ageing! You don’t have to change your name, address, and job once every 5 years,” Nino sighed, “I’ll just have to find you again when you’re reborn.”
“That will take a long time.”
“It’s still worth it since you’ll still fall in love with me eventually.”
“For once, you said something cheesy,” Sho chuckled.
“Shut up.”
“But you’re right. I would still love you no matter what.”
Nino might not express it, but Sho knew that he meant everything to his lover. Same goes for himself. A relationship between humans and vampires was forbidden. Unlike every cliche romance story, both Nino and Sho dated before the younger man turned into a vampire. Being a vampire was Nino’s only choice to live at that time due to his sickness. However, his transformation didn’t change their relationship. Sho was grateful that Nino continued to live even if it meant that he needed to depend on Sho’s blood. As long as he had Nino, everything was fine.
Sho brushed his partner’s hair as they continued on their usual evening. There were times when they both were silenced in between and it was normal. Nino was focused on his games while Sho watched the news on TV. In the end, having each other’s company was more important above anything.
“Sho-chan,” Nino broke the silence.
“Hmm?”
“On second thought, I’d rather not have you immortal either,” Nino said, “I love your wrinkles. It’s cute.”
“What—”
Before Sho could complain, Nino placed his phone on top of the coffee table and pulled Sho towards him. He immediately pressed his lips against his lover. Sho went along and wrapped his arms around Nino. The younger man immediately held his partner’s arm and deepened the kiss. Nino dipped his tongue past Sho’s lips, caressing his tongue with his. A soft hum escaped from Sho’s mouth. Nino pulled back a little and smiled, “I love you.”
“I love you more,” Sho smirked as he leaned towards Nino again for another kiss.
It was useless to win against Nino. It didn’t matter if he grew old because Nino loved him.
