Every single time he took a picture of his senior, he could feel the butterfly in his stomach. He was afraid of getting caught from his action. What will his senior do if he knows that his junior has been taking pictures of him? What will his friends think about him? But his desire dominated him instead. He just couldn’t resist. That guy looked goddamn perfect in any angle, especially when he was laughing carefreely. Jun never got tired of looking those dorky face and his unique sloping shoulder. His feelings grew deeper and deeper each time he looked at that handsome face. Nobody could make Jun felt like this except for his senior.
His name is Sakurai Sho, someone a year above him. Everyone knew who he is. They called him the model student. Sakurai is not a human being, rather he is a God. Pretty much, he excelled academically and willing to help almost everyone in the school. He may have some flaws but it didn’t matter anyway. But that wasn’t the reason why Matsumoto Jun fell in love with him. He just didn’t need any reason to fell in love with Sakurai. It was as if Sakurai Sho is his soulmate.
“J, are you a stalker?”
Ninomiya Kazunari, his best friend, had an suspicions on him. It is true that nobody is observant and knows Jun as much as Nino. It didn’t take long for Nino to notice Jun’s feelings towards the popular senior. Being a good friend like he usually was, Nino warned him that his obsession would lead into something such as trouble.
He didn’t know exactly when his obsession started. He was quite sure that his passion on taking pictures of landscapes suddenly changed after he observed Sakurai Sho in the soccerfield. His memory card was full of Sakurai’s picture and gradually deleted every landscape photos he had taken. Jun is not stupid, he knew that his obsession on Sakurai was rather… unhealthy. But he couldn’t help it. There wasn’t any other way for him to be somewhat ‘close’ to Sakurai except for taking his pictures. Jun was more of reserved and shy guy. It was impossible for someone like him to approach an extrovert guy like Sakurai.
But what Jun didn’t know is that his luck never ran out. There was one time when Sakurai spoke to him for the first time. When Sakurai looked into his eyes and walked towards him, Jun freaked out and tried to calm himself. He is not going to talk to you, maybe he just goes here for a walk, he told himself for several of times. But that was not the case, Sakurai approached to him and kept on mumbling the word ‘sorry’ as if he did something wrong to Jun.
“M-Matsumoto Jun, right? I know this is awkward but I have to be honest with you,” Sakurai mumbled nervously, “I think you have a beautiful smile.”
Jun blushed as he was distracting himself by looking at his camera. He awkwardly thanked him for the compliment. Then, Sakurai bowed and went to his class again. Jun secretly took a picture of Sakurai’s back. He whispered quietly as Sakurai gradually disappeared from his sight.
“I really love you, Sho.”
Later that day, Nino rushed out and told him something surpising about Sakurai’s confession to him. He lost a bet and there was a dare that he had to do, Nino explained. His dare was to compliment someone that he secretly likes. Jun froze as his eyes widen. It was impossible for Sakurai to like someone like him. It was impossible for Sakurai to like someone who he never even talked to. But… wasn’t it the same as him? He never talked to Sakurai before but yet Jun fell in love with him.
It really encouraged him for not giving up on his love towards Sakurai. Jun was quite sure of it. Someday, there will be a time when Sakurai whispered those three precious words to him. He still had the chance to steal the man’s heart.
